The Shocks have three games this weekend in the State Cup tournament.
There are three groups, the Shocks are in Group B with the Rockets and the NTSC Spirits. The winner of each group and one wildcard team will advance to the next round in Greensboro.
The Shocks finished the regular season with a 1-0 victory over the Xtreme. The Shocks dominated the ball playing most of the game on the Xtreme’s end of the field. The Shocks had numerous shots on goal but only converted one, a header by Kyra late in the first half.

The Shocks continued to play well, getting off to a quick 3-0 lead on the FVAA Lightning. Kyra scored two goals and Adelaide added a third. The Shocks gave the Lightning some hope late in the first half when they got a little lazy and Lightning scored their lone goal of the game. Rain had started to fall in the the first half and it really started coming down just before half time. Kyra scored her third goal for a hat trick a minute into the second half. The remainder of the second half was scoreless as the teams battled the wet conditions in the pouring rain.

The Shocks pulled out their white uniforms and scored early getting up 3-0 on goals by Adelaide, Kyra, and MacKenzie. Things settled down a bit and the half finished with the Shocks leading 3-0. In the second half the Shocks continued putting the ball on goal and had several goals disallowed due to off sides calls. Logan and Bridget each scored goals that counted in the second half and the game ended with the Shocks winning 5-0.
